Introducing Vicky Emery

Managing Director of Change In Practice

Experienced and engaging keynote speaker, senior advisor and change practitioner of 25+ years

I have worked in the change field for more than 25 years and know what it takes to make change work! I work with my clients to quickly understand the challenges and opportunities of their change initiatives, working out the ‘right fit’ change strategy and making sure their people are ready, willing and able to adopt and sustain the change. The kinds of change on which I work range from project level to transformation across an organisation, in an Agile setting or other approaches.

I work with organisations to devise their Enterprise Change Management strategy – improving their change maturity to attain higher adoption and realise benefits. If we can improve our ability to land change well, we can achieve better and sustained results.

As a senior advisor and change practitioner, my clients come from sectors including professional services, banking and finance, mining, science and technology, telecommunications, Federal, State and Local Government, not-for-profit, utilities, tertiary education, aviation and aged care in the Asia Pacific region.

I am a Prosci Certified Practitioner and Advanced Instructor for over 11 years and have been using Prosci’s Enterprise Management tools for more than 12 years. I have qualifications in Education, Science, Change Management, Benefit Realisation and coaching. I am a member of the Change Management Institute (CMI), Australian Institute of Company Directors (MAICD) and the International Coaching Federation (ICF).

Giving back

We support Australian-wide charities that are about change at a fundamental level – for individuals, families and communities. We have chosen charities where in excess of 97% of funds go to their clients.

We are proud to donate 5% of every sale to 2 charities.

Dignity

We’re a charity with big ideas and endless optimism. We get things done and constantly dream up ways to do things even better.

Everything we do is guided by two core beliefs:

  • Every person should be treated with dignity
  • Together, we can end homelessness in Australia.

We do more than help people who are experiencing, or at risk of experiencing, homelessness. We treat everyone with dignity and empower people to find a fresh way forward.

Founded in 2015, we’re already on our way to achieving our ultimate aim of ending homelessness. We have an extremely high success rate of getting our guests a positive outcome within 14 days, whether that’s getting them into the private rental market or connecting them with other service providers in their area. It’s a big goal, but we’re firm in our belief that – together, we can achieve great things.

  • 22 Locations
  • 250 People sheltered every night
  • 15,000 Meals served every month
  • 100,000 people empowered.

The Smith Family – Learning for Life program

Education has the power to change lives and break the cycle of disadvantage.

To improve a young person’s chances to create a better economic future for themselves, research tell us it’s important for children to be engaged in school and stay until Year 12 or equivalent. But sadly not every child has the same opportunities to achieve this.

The Smith Family’s work focuses on Australian children in families and communities where we know it’s harder for them to fully participate in their education without some help.

The Learning for Life program provides emotional, practical and financial support to help disadvantaged children and young people with their education. Support starts in the early years of learning development and continues through primary and high school. Programs help build skills, knowledge, motivation, self-belief and a network of positive relationships with parents, peers and significant others. This support increases a young person’s likelihood of remaining engaged with school, completing Year 12 and developing realistic and informed study and career pathways for life beyond the school gate.
